Madhya Pradesh Police Department Announces Vacancies for Lab Positions

The Madhya Pradesh Police Department has recently announced vacancies for laboratory technician and laboratory assistant positions. Interested candidates can apply for these positions through the MP Online portal. The application process will remain open until August 31st.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply, candidates must be citizens of India and registered with the state employment office. Additionally, applicants with more than two living children, one of whom was born after January 26th, 2001, will not be considered.

In terms of educational qualifications, candidates applying for the laboratory technician position must have a graduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. Additionally, they should have at least two years of experience working in a lab.

Candidates applying for the laboratory assistant position must have passed their 10th and 12th standard exams in science subjects. In addition to that, they should have at least one year of experience working in a lab.

Salary: 

The salary for the laboratory technician position ranges from INR 28,700 to INR 91,300. Whereas the salary for the laboratory assistant position ranges from INR 19,500 to INR 62,000.

Selection Process:

The selection process will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, a selection committee will review applications. They will select five times the number of advertised positions.

For the laboratory technician position, the selection list will be prepared based on BSc degree marks. For the laboratory assistant position, the list will be prepared based on 12th-grade marks.

In the second stage, a written examination worth 100 marks will be conducted. The examination will consist of one-word answer questions and will not be objective in nature. For both positions, the examination will consist of 80 marks for general science and 20 marks for general knowledge.

Candidates belonging to the general category, OBC, and EWS must score at least 50% to qualify. On the other hand, candidates belonging to the SC or ST categories must score at least 40% to qualify.

After the second stage, a merit list of candidates will be released. Selected candidates will then be posted at any forensic science laboratory or district crime scene mobile unit in Madhya Pradesh.
